Trainee Engineer Electrical Selection Mode :-
The selection process for POWERGRID Trainee Engineer Recruitment 2024 includes multiple stages:
- GATE 2024 Score: Candidates must have qualified GATE 2024 with valid scores. Normalized marks (out of 100) will be used for shortlisting.
- Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo these assessments. The Group Discussion has no qualifying marks, and candidates can choose to appear in Hindi or English for the interview.
- Final Selection: The final score for selection will be based on the following weightage:
- GATE 2024 Marks: 85%
- Group Discussion: 3%
- Personal Interview: 12%
Candidates must qualify the interview with a minimum of 40% for UR and EWS categories, and 30% for reserved categories. Shortlisted candidates can access interview details via the online application system.
Training and Salary Details for Engineer Trainee (Electrical)2024:-
- Training Period: 1 year
- Pay Scale During Training: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 (IDA), plus HRA and perks @ 12% of basic pay per month.
- Post-Training Placement: Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be placed as Assistant Engineers at the E0 level, with the same pay scale.
Compensation Package on Regularization:
- Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites, and Allowances (cafeteria approach)
- Company Quarters or HRA, Location-Based Compensatory Allowance (as applicable)
