SSC Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2025-Exam Tips Preparation:

Master the Math Basics: The Quantitative Aptitude syllabus includes topics up to the 10th-grade level, but with complex algebraic and geometric concepts. Focus on speed and accuracy, as time is limited in Paper-I.

Daily Current Affairs: General Awareness is a scoring section. Dedicate time daily to reading newspapers and watching news to keep up with current affairs.

Practice Mock Tests: Regularly practice full-length mock tests for Paper-I, especially focusing on managing time across the four sections.

Physical Fitness is Mandatory: Since the PET/PST is a crucial, mandatory stage, start your physical preparation (running, jumping, shot put) well in advance, alongside your written exam preparation.

Know Your English Grammar: Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) is a highly weighted subject. Ensure a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

Refer book :

  • Since the syllabus covers four main areas, you should refer to standard books for competitive examinations:
  • Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning: Books tailored for SSC CGL/CPO exams covering Arithmetic, Advanced Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra), and Logical Reasoning.
  • General Knowledge/Awareness: A standard G.K. compilation book (like Lucent’s or similar), focusing heavily on current affairs for the last 6-12 months, and static subjects like History, Polity, Geography, and Science.
  • English Language and Comprehension: A comprehensive English grammar book (like Wren & Martin or similar) for grammatical rules, a good vocabulary book, and practice sets focusing on Comprehension, Cloze Tests, and sentence correction, as required for Paper-II.
